The invention of Zoltán Demjén, Ferenc Kesztyűs, József Nagy may revolutionize the fine arts as they are. Silicone artistic paint as nostrum.

WORKS FOR ETERNITY

If DEKENA silicone artistic paint were invented centuries ago, we would not have to worry now about the shortness of the remaining time while we are able to marvel the works of universal pictorial art in their genuineness and their brilliant colours... It is the dreaded fear of painters and art collectors alike that one day the painting, which has required a lot of work to accomplish, or an enormous of money to buy starts to get dark, crackle, or peel. All these phenomena occur simply because the paints containing adhesives of vegetal origin swelling under the impact of humid air, start shrinking in a dry environment until they completely desiccate, thus oxidation commences, and sooner or later it is time to call the restorer. That is why experts, artists and lovers of the art are equally happy and can not wait to welcome the invention of the renowned professional trio - Ferenc Kesztyűs, the graphic artist and painter having been awarded three times by the international silver medal, dr. József Nagy, academy professor of European Sciences and Arts, awarded by the Kossuth- and Eötvös-prizes, together with dr. Zoltán Demjén, director - : the DEKENA silicone artistic paint.

They started experimenting five years ago, during which they have elaborated the silicone artistic paint and its application technology, with which it is excellently and easily applicable on walls /on fine plasters/, paper, wood, metal, glass, porcelain, uncoated porcelain, glass-cloth artists’ canvas, fibreboard, textile and leather.

So far the artists, journalists and the inquirers had a chance to witness the actual facture at the following places: the Csontváry Gallery of the Hungarian House, the Ferenc Kesztyűs Showroom of Hotel Taverna, the gallery of Dániel Benkő guitar-artist, the House of Science and Technology in Szolnok on the occasion of the International Day of Science, the Gallery of Inno ide Art in Gazdagrét, the private gallery of Ferenc Kesztyűs, the Glas House in Bangkok, the Imperial Queen’s Park Hotel, at the Interior, Milieu International Exhibition in the Budapesti Vigadó, the Fészek Club ofArtists. It was also introduced at the opening of the exhibition in the Márton Rátkai Club /where a professional demonstration was also held, during which 26 artist had a chance to paint their silicone-painting, about which a detailed report was published in the 2006 January-February issue of the American Hungarian Panorama/.

A test-film was produced by reporter Szilvia Sipos and broadcast by M2 in its programme called Repeta Plus at 08:30 on the 28th of January, 2006, at 13:25 on the 3rd of February, 2006 by M2 in a programme called Glóbusz, and at 09:30 on the 4th of February, 2006 by M1 in a programme called Glóbusz.

If the painters get acquainted with this paint and technology, they are not going to return to the traditional painting methods - that is the opinion of dr. József Nagy, professor, the creator of the Hungarian silicone-industry, , dr. Zoltán Demjén, and, having drawn a lesson from his own experiences, dr. Ferenc Kesztyűs, renowned graphic artist and painter, whose exhibitions were seen by lots of visitors from Montreal to Havanna and Thailand. Mr. Kesztyűs uses his extensive network of connections to make sure that the news of this invention get to the farthest corners of the world as soon as possible, alongside with his former invention: the enamel-ceramic paint and its technology.

The DEKENA silicone artistic paint contains the same pigments, as the traditional paints. Its application is easy and simple. It has a liquid adhesive, a spray that cross-links when it cools down, transforming the paint into a double-component silicone-rubber. It is possible to paint with it using water-colour, transparent coating or pastose techniques, or with a thick, so-called three-dimensional application - with brush, spatula, ink pencils, painting-knife, paint pipe- any which method. The works painted with this paint are everlasting: they do not age, do not have to be restored, they are indifferent to the relative humidity of the surrounding air, towards heat or cold and the oxygen in the air.

Surely it is only a question of time until the DEKENA silicone artistic paint becomes popular, as well as the other inventions utilizing silicone, which are already present in our everyday life. In only a few years time we can forget worrying about the lasting of our paintings, either... We do hope that this Hungarian invention - while becoming well known all over the world - still remains in the possession of the Hungarian contractors and manufacturers.

The inventors do believe that the application domain of the silicone artistic paint is unlimited, and even goes well beyond its feasibility in the field of pictorial arts, as it is being merely one of the segments...
